After much pestering, my friend planned a trip up to Nottingham today to show me round Robin Hood’s castle. Although it was pouring rain and chilly, it didn’t stop us and I’m so glad I didn’t decide to stay home. Train ride was about 30 mins, and the city is pretty quaint and wonderful in its own way. Reminded me of Toronto, by the train station. I guess thats where the city seem to crush into the train station.

We started with the Criminal Justice Museum, and then went up to the Nottingham Contemporary which is an art gallery. They had an exhibition on art from Haiti. It brought back memories from my art-school days. Something about looking into a work of art and losing yourself to the complexities of it is just a different kind of wonderful. I’m glad that I got to touch base with that feeling again.

Realizing that my boots were getting soaked with no scope of drying, my friend and I decided to head up to lunch and then hope that we find some cheap wellies
Lunch was at Tarn Thai and was sooo yummmmmyyyyyy!

After a wonderful yummy lunch and the best Jasmine Tea I’ve ever had, we went on the hunt for some awesome wellies and socks. Plaid wellies and some christmas themed socks later, we are off to Robin Hood’s castle and its amazing! The rain had stopped by then and it was nice to walk around and be able to see the whole city from the castle. It really is nice

Day finished on a lovely note with no rain, and sunshine as we did a final walkthru and headed for the train home.
All in all, a wonderful day trip. It’s places like this that make it seem worthwhile to come to England and be able to study abroad. Gotta have some perks
is it really Robin Hood’s castle? Or just called that?
Its referred to that, otherwise its just Nottingham Castle. There’s a whole area dedicated to him there.
yup
